NDE is an interdisciplinary research group, interested in describing and reporting how we learn and practice what is normal in different contexts, especially in spaces of transmission and knowledge generation.
In school spaces, in scientific research practices, and also in daily public spaces, NDE seeks to describe how inequitable relations are produced and reproduced, regarding different systems of differentiation (gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, age, ability, among others) that not only take for granted human difference as obvious or natural, but also imply inequality, violence, and the invisibilization of privileged positions.
NDE seeks to reflexively describe the cultural norms that guide our differentiating practices, not to judge them but to show how we have learned to normalize them in different contexts and, therefore, how we can unlearn them and learn in another way.
